Nomenclatural History	The species Nesterenkonia halobia was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 1995. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Micrococcus halobius Onishi and Kamekura 1972 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Nesterenkonia Stackebrandt et al. 1995 emend.
