Nomenclatural History
The species Rothia dentocariosa was originally described by Georg and Brown 1967. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Daneshvar et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018.
