Nomenclatural History
The species Rothia mucilaginosa was originally described and validly published by Collins et al. 2000. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Collins et al. formed this name in 2000 by placing the species (ex Migula 1900) Bergan and Kocur 1982 into the genus Georg and Brown 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018.
