Nomenclatural History
The species Sanguibacter keddieii was originally described by Fernández-Garayzábal et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 54 in 1995. Pikuta et al. published an emended description of this species in 2017. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018.
