Nomenclatural History
The species Brevibacterium divaricatum was originally described by Su and Yamada 1960. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Liebl et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Kinoshita et al. 1958) Abe et al. 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 1991.
