Nomenclatural History
The family Cellulomonadaceae was originally proposed by Stackebrandt and Prauser 1991. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 39 in 1991. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this family in 1997. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Stackebrandt and Schumann in 2000, Zhi et al. in 2009 and Nouioui et al. in 2018.
