Nomenclatural History

The genus Oerskovia was originally proposed by Prauser et al. 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2002. Stackebrandt et al. transferred the members of this genus into
Cellulomonas Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Stackebrandt et al. 1982
in 1982.
