Nomenclatural History
The species Oerskovia turbata was originally described by Prauser et al. 1970. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2002. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018. In 1982, Stackebrandt et al. established as the basonym of (Erikson 1954) Stackebrandt et al. 1983 .
