The species Oerskovia enterophila was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 2002. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species Jáger et al. 1983 into the genus Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Stackebrandt et al. 1982.
