Nomenclatural History	The species Kytococcus sedentarius was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 1995. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Micrococcus sedentarius ZoBell and Upham 1944 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Kytococcus Stackebrandt et al. 1995.
