Nomenclatural History
The species Microbacterium flavescens was originally described and validly published by Takeuchi and Hatano 1998. Takeuchi and Hatano formed this name in 1998 by placing the species (Lochhead 1958) Collins et al. 1983 into the genus Orla-Jensen 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Fidalgo et al. 2016.
