Nomenclatural History	The species Microbacterium maritypicum was originally described and validly published by Takeuchi and Hatano 1998. Takeuchi and Hatano formed this name in 1998 by placing the species Flavobacterium marinotypicum ZoBell and Upham 1944 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Microbacterium Orla-Jensen 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend.
