Nomenclatural History
The species Microbacterium oxydans was originally described and validly published by Schumann et al. 1999. Schumann et al. formed this name in 1999 by placing the species Chatelain and Second 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Orla-Jensen 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Fidalgo et al. 2016.
