Nomenclatural History
The species Aureobacterium flavescens was originally described by Collins et al. 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 11 in 1983. Collins et al. formed this name in 1983 by placing the species Lochhead 1958 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Orla-Jensen 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Fidalgo et al. 2016. In 1998, Takeuchi and Hatano established as the basonym of (Lochhead 1958) Takeuchi and Hatano 1998 .
