Nomenclatural History
The species Aureobacterium testaceum was originally described by Collins et al. 1983. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 11 in 1983. Collins et al. formed this name in 1983 by placing the species Komagata and Iizuka 1964 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Orla-Jensen 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Fidalgo et al. 2016. In 1998, Takeuchi and Hatano established as the basonym of (Komagata and Iizuka 1964) Takeuchi and Hatano 1998 .
