Nomenclatural History
The species Clavibacter iranicus was originally described and validly published by Davis et al. 1984. Zgurskaya et al. corrected this name from (sic) to . Davis et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the species (ex Scharif 1961) Carlson and Vidaver 1982 into the genus Davis et al. 1984. In 1993, Zgurskaya et al. established as the basonym of (Carlson and Vidaver 1982) Zgurskaya et al. 1993 .
