Nomenclatural History
The species Clavibacter tritici was originally described and validly published by Davis et al. 1984. Davis et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the species (ex Hutchinson 1917) Carlson and Vidaver 1982 into the genus Davis et al. 1984. In 1993, Zgurskaya et al. established as the basonym of (Carlson and Vidaver 1982) Zgurskaya et al. 1993 .
