Nomenclatural History
The family Corynebacteriaceae was originally proposed by Lehmann and Neumann 1907. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this family in 1997. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Zhi et al. in 2009 and Nouioui et al. in 2018.
