Nomenclatural History	The species Corynebacterium equi was originally described by Magnusson 1923. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1983, Sly et al. established Corynebacterium equi as the basonym of Rhodococcus equi (Magnusson 1923) Goodfellow and Alderson 1977 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 .
