Nomenclatural History
The species Corynebacterium nigricans was originally described by Shukla et al. 2003. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 95 in 2004. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Daneshvar et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Yassin et al. 2002 emend. Daneshvar et al. 2004 in 2004.
