Nomenclatural History
The species Corynebacterium seminale was originally described by Riegel et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 56 in 1996. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Devriese et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Funke et al. 1995 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2000.
