Nomenclatural History
The species Dietzia maris was originally described and validly published by Rainey et al. 1995. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Rainey et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species (ex Harrison 1929) Nesterenko et al. 1982 into the genus Rainey et al. 1995 emend. Kämpfer et al. 2010. Nouioui et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Yassin et al. 2006 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
