Nomenclatural History	The species Gordonia amarae was originally described and validly published by Klatte et al. 1994. Stackebrandt et al. corrected this name from Gordona amarae (sic) to Gordonia amarae . Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Klatte et al. formed this name in 1994 by placing the species Nocardia amarae Lechevalier and Lechevalier 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Gordona (sic) (ex Tsukamura 1971) Stackebrandt et al. 1989Gordonia corrig. (ex Tsukamura 1971) Stackebrandt et al. 1989.
