Nomenclatural History
|
The species Mycobacterium agri was originally described by Tsukamura 1972. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1981 the name was revived and validly published by Tsukamura. In 2018, Gupta et al. established Mycobacterium agri as the basonym of
Mycolicibacterium agri (Tsukamura 1981) Gupta et al. 2018
