Nomenclatural History
|
The species Mycobacterium aichiense was originally described by Tsukamura 1973. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1981 the name was revived and validly published by Tsukamura et al.. In 2018, Gupta et al. established Mycobacterium aichiense as the basonym of
Mycolicibacterium aichiense (Tsukamura et al. 1981) Gupta et al. 2018
