Nomenclatural History
The species Mycobacterium chlorophenolicum was originally described and validly published by Häggblom et al. 1994. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Häggblom et al. formed this name in 1994 by placing the species Apajalahti et al. 1986 into the genus Lehmann and Neumann 1896 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Meehan et al. 2021. In 2018, Gupta et al. established as the basonym of (Apajalahti et al. 1986) Gupta et al. 2018 .
