Nomenclatural History
|
The species Mycobacterium chubuense was originally described by Tsukamura 1973. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1981 the name was revived and validly published by Tsukamura et al.. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. In 2018, Gupta et al. established Mycobacterium chubuense as the basonym of
Mycolicibacterium chubuense (Tsukamura et al. 1981) Gupta et al. 2018
