Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardia cummidelens was originally described by Maldonado et al. 2000. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 82 in 2001. In 2018, Nouioui et al. reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form (Maldonado et al. 2001) Nouioui et al. 2018 . Nouioui et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Maldonado et al. 2001 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.
