Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardia uniformis was originally described by Marton and Szabó 1959. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1999 the name was revived and validly published by Isik et al.. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018.
