The species Rhodococcus aichiensis was originally described by Tsukamura 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 12 in 1983. In 1994, Klatte et al. established as the basonym of corrig. (Tsukamura 1983) Klatte et al. 1994 .
