Nomenclatural History
The species Rhodococcus opacus was originally described by Klatte et al. 1994. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 52 in 1995. Lee and Kim established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Briglia et al. 1996 in 2021. Lee and Kim established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Ghosh et al. 2006 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2021.
