Nomenclatural History
The species Micromonospora matsumotoense was originally described by Lee et al. 1999. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 72 in 2000. Lee et al. formed this name in 1999 by placing the species Asano et al. 1989 into the genus Ørskov 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018.
