Nomenclatural History
The species Actinoplanes friuliensis was originally described by Aretz et al. 2000. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 80 in 2001. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 81 in 2008. Wink et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nouioui et al. in 2018.
