Nomenclatural History	The species Actinoplanes globisporus was originally described by Stackebrandt and Kroppenstedt 1987. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 26 in 1988. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Stackebrandt and Kroppenstedt formed this name in 1987 by placing the species Amorphosporangium globisporum Thiemann 1967 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Actinoplanes Couch 1950 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018.
