Nomenclatural History
The suborder Propionibacterineae was originally proposed by 1997. This name was validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 1997. Zhi et al. published an emended description of this suborder in 2009. Patrick and McDowell elevated this suborder to the rank of order to form the name (Rainey et al. 1997) Patrick and McDowell 2015 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2012.
