Nomenclatural History
The family Pseudonocardiaceae was originally proposed by Embley et al. 1988. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 29 in 1989. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this family in 1997. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Zhi et al. in 2009, Labeda et al. in 2011, Nouioui et al. in 2018 and Teo et al. in 2021. Labeda et al. transferred the members of Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2000 emend. Zhi et al. 2009 into this family in 2011.
