The species Pseudonocardia halophobica was originally described and validly published by McVeigh et al. 1994. McVeigh et al. formed this name in 1994 by placing the species Akimov et al. 1989 into the genus Henssen 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Park et al. 2008.
