The species Pseudonocardia saturnea was originally described and validly published by Warwick et al. 1994. Warwick et al. formed this name in 1994 by placing the species
Amycolata saturnea (Hirsch 1960) Lechevalier et al. 1986
into the genus Pseudonocardia Henssen 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Park et al. 2008.
