Nomenclatural History
The species Amycolatopsis azurea was originally described and validly published by Henssen et al. 1987. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Henssen et al. formed this name in 1987 by placing the species Ōmura et al. 1983 into the genus Lechevalier et al. 1986 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018.
