Nomenclatural History
The species Amycolatopsis fastidiosa was originally described by Celmer et al. 1977. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1987 the name was revived and validly published by Henssen et al.. In 2010, Labeda et al. established as the basonym of (Henssen et al. 1987) Labeda et al. 2010 .
