Nomenclatural History
The species Prauserella rugosa was originally described and validly published by Kim and Goodfellow 1999. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Kim and Goodfellow formed this name in 1999 by placing the species (ex di Marco and Spalla 1957) Lechevalier et al. 1986 into the genus Kim and Goodfellow 1999 emend. Li et al. 2003.
