Nomenclatural History
The species Streptoalloteichus hindustanus was originally described by Tomita et al. 1978. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1987 the name was revived and validly published by Tomita et al.. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018.
