The family Actinosynnemataceae was originally proposed and validly published by Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2000. Zhi et al. published an emended description of this family in 2009. Labeda et al. transferred the members of this family into
Pseudonocardiaceae Embley et al. 1989 emend. Teo et al. 2021
in 2011.
