Nomenclatural History
The genus Lentzea was originally proposed and validly published by Yassin et al. 1995. Labeda et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2001. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Fang et al. in 2017 and Nouioui et al. in 2018. Lee et al. transferred the members of this genus into Labeda et al. 1984 emend. Labeda and Lechevalier 1989 in 2000. Nouioui et al. transferred the members of Labeda et al. 2001 emend. Zhao et al. 2017 into this genus in 2018.
