Nomenclatural History
The species Saccharothrix coeruleofusca was originally described by Grund and Kroppenstedt 1989. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. Grund and Kroppenstedt formed this name in 1989 by placing the species (Preobrazhenskaya and Sveshnikova 1974) Preobrazhenskaia et al. 1985 into the genus Labeda et al. 1984 emend. Labeda and Lechevalier 1989.
