Nomenclatural History
The species Saccharothrix flava was originally described by Grund and Kroppenstedt 1989. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. Grund and Kroppenstedt formed this name in 1989 by placing the species (Gauze et al. 1974) Preobrazhenskaia et al. 1985 into the genus Labeda et al. 1984 emend. Labeda and Lechevalier 1989. In 2001, Labeda et al. established as the basonym of (Gauze et al. 1974) Labeda et al. 2001 .
