Nomenclatural History
The family Streptomycetaceae was originally proposed by Waksman and Henrici 1943. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. published an emended description of this family in 1997. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Kim et al. in 2003, Zhi et al. in 2009, Huang et al. in 2017 and Nouioui et al. in 2018.
