Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces antimycoticus was originally described by Waksman 1957. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Komaki and Tamura published an emended description of this species in 2020. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Joshi et al. in 2020. Komaki and Tamura established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex Krasil'nikov 1970) Preobrazhenskaya 1986 in 2020. Komaki and Tamura established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Cercós 1954) Kumar and Goodfellow 2008 in 2020.
