Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces armeniacus was originally described and validly published by Wellington and Williams 1981. Wellington and Williams formed this name in 1981 by placing the species Kalakoutskii and Kusnetsov 1964 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017.
