Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces aureoversilis was originally described by Witt and Stackebrandt 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 38 in 1991. List Editor corrected this name from (sic) to . Witt and Stackebrandt formed this name in 1990 by placing the species corrig. Locci et al. 1969 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017. Hatano et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Witt and Stackebrandt 1991 pro synon. Streptoverticillium hiroshimense (Shinobu 1955) Farina and Locci 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2003.
